Eagle Island Summer camp Scholarships
Scholarship applications to attend Eagle Island Camp in summer 2026 are now open!
All applications must be submitted via the portal at the bottom of this page and are due by Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

The Eagle Island Summer Camp Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for girls living in NYCHA communities to experience a life-changing adventure in the great outdoors! This overnight camp, located on Saranac Lake in the beautiful Adirondacks, empowers girls ages 9-17 to build confidence, leadership skills, and lifelong friendships through activities like swimming, hiking, canoeing, and creative workshops.
Scholarships cover one week of camp. This year, scholarships will cover one of the following four weeks:
July 5 - 10
July 12 - 17
July 19-24
July 26 - 31
Full scholarships cover all fees, meals, accommodations, and transportation for one of the above weeks. Families will be asked to list their preferred week in the application.
This is a unique chance to explore nature, discover new passions, and create unforgettable memories!
Who can apply:
Residents of NYCHA only.
Girls who are between the ages of 9-17 as of July 30, 2021
Program Benefits:
Eagle Island is located in the beautiful Adirondacks and campers will have access to swimming, hiking, canoeing, campfires, creative activities and more
Full camp fees including all meals, accomodations, and transportation are covered by the scholarship.

Accepted camper and family reception will be held in March (date TBD). Accepted campers must be accompanied by one parent or guardian.
