Join the Public Housing Community Fund, the New York City Housing Authority, the Mellon Foundation, Jerome Haferd Studio, Creative Urban Alchemy, and Kingsborough Houses residents to celebrate the first illumination of the heritage walk, Migration. The installation features and amplifies the voices, memories, and aspirations of residents and the broader descendants of the Great Migration. The installation is a place-based, interpretive artwork that blends historic preservation with storytelling. A constellation rooted in history and community, 35 steel structures are distributed throughout the 16-acre campus.
