INTERESTED IN ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN?

 WHAT –

ARCscholars is a 20 session course for NYCHA youth to work collaboratively with architecture students from City Tech, and Parsons School of Design. Together, the cohort will visit the Queensbridge NYCHA development to research buildings and outdoor spaces and to propose design ideas to enhance the built environment. ARCscholars will be joined by professional mentors throughout the program to guide the work and help them create an independent project. 

 WHEN & WHERE –

Weekly classes will be held in person on the City Tech campus on select Sundays (time TBD). Classes will be held virtually on select Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The sessions will run from September 6th, 2023 through May, 2024. There will be two community presentations- dates TBD.

WHO CAN APPLY -

Current NYCHA residents 14 to 24 years of age.

STIPEND AWARD & PROGRAM SUPPORTS -

Students participating in all workshops and presentations will receive a $500 stipend.
Access to Wi-Fi via computer or mobile device is required.
Transportation to and from all events will be provided.
